Well now that the semester is coming to a close and I'm pretty sure I don't need to venture off christmas shopping any more (knock on wood) I'm grateful for this challenge, it was so much fun to do and dare I say easy. Once things finally got situated, it went swimmingly. I am grateful I've been able to maintain my good grade in this class, I've really loved it. It has shown me I really do enjoy business. Ive learned a lot about buying a business, about franchises, and other entrepreneurs. What are the perks and down sides of owning a business with family? (in my opinion not a lot keep business, business folks, it's just easier)
I would love to one day own my own business, and really hope I can be an effective business owner, making it a success and helping others by gaining jobs and benefiting their lives, with more than just a paycheck, but something they can be proud of, and feel accomplished.
I am proud to be apart of kiva and hope selina (the recipient of this projects, profits) so she can better her family, and her community and in turn her economy. She owns a clothing resale shop in Kenya. With the loan she would be able to buy more clothes to resell to passer-by-ers. Her main challenges are school fees for her two daughters and travel expenses. I'm hoping she will be able to improve her quality of life, allow her daughters to continue in school so they can in turn be a benefit to their community and economy, learn more of the world and eventually teach their own children about what amazes them about this beautiful world.
